April and Darryl’s Toronto engagement session was extra awesome and super fun to shoot! This was not a typical one location session as they both live in Winnipeg (Darryl originally from Toronto) and wanted to capture as much as they could of the city. We walked and TTC to multiple landmarks such as City Hall, Yonge Dundas Square, Union Station, Air Canada Centre and finished off at the Rogers Centre before attending the game that evening. You can see them in their Jays jersey photos outside of the Rogers Centre in my previous post here. Thanks again for treating me to some delicious Thai food from Pai! Enjoy the photos!

Shayan contacted me last September to help him take photos during his surprise proposal to his girlfriend Niusha. He found me via Google because I had done another proposal at Yonge-Dundas Square where he was going to do his also. In addition to having it at the Square he rented two of the LCD screens there to play a slideshow he made which I thought was pretty cool. So Shayan and I meet up the morning of the proposal on location to finalize all the logistics and I walked him through where they should be. Later that evening as planned they arrived 10 minutes before 8pm when I started to take photos of them from about a distances of 30 – 40 metres away to the build up of their proposal. Below are some of my favourite candid moments leading up to their proposal and their epic classic heel kicking kissing photo in the middle of the Square to end of the session! Enjoy! If you like to see more proposals I’ve photographed in the past click here.
Enjoying a street performance before it was time to propose.
A quick time check from the big LCD screens then off to the designated proposal location.
Arrived to the spot exactly at 8pm and asked Niusha to look at the LCD screen.
She was surprised to she herself on the big screen.
One of two LCD screens used for the proposal.
Enjoying their lovely moment together. (One screen each lol)
He then takes her hand before the last slide appears…
…and goes down on one knee to proposal.

A group of people pass by right after and cheered them on and congratulated them.

Showing off her new ring to the camera.

We took a few photos with a close friend who was present to witness the special occasion.

I meet Kyle as a groomsmen at a wedding I photographed a few years ago and we kept in touch via Facebook. After proposing to his girlfriend Sooji he reached out to me to see if I was available for their engagement session and wedding photos and I was! So glad were able to work together again and for a chance to see some old friends at the wedding next year. I’ve been itching to show off these shots from Sooji and Kyle’s session for the longest time. Today. Finally. Enjoy!

Mari and Alex, with your big day around the corner I’m so excited to finally share your engagement session! It was a chilling October day but we were able to capture these beautiful photos of you both at the Bluffs and finishing off your session at UTSC. I seriously cannot wait for next month, it’s going to be so much fun to see you folks again! Enjoy the photos!

Featured today on the blog is Abby and Troy’s engagement session from Hilton Falls in Milton. We hiked our way and battle hundreds of mosquitos to the beautiful falls and captured these awesome photos. We were so lucky to have finished our session just while it started to rain on the hike back to the car. I’m so looking forward to their wedding this weekend, enjoy the photos!

I am very excited to share Haytung and Anvan’s engagement photos with you today! We plotted a shoot that took us to Cherry Beach and Graffiti Alley in Toronto. What I really loved about this set was the laid back approach, we spent just enough time at each spot to keep things interesting before moving on to the next. Can’t wait till this weekend for their wedding and for more awesome photos. Enjoy!

I had an awesome time shooting Nancy and Ryan’s engagement at the CNE earlier this summer. It was a perfect summer evening hanging out at the CNE while taking some great candid and posed photos with them. I like to also thank Studio910.com for shooting a behind the scenes video of the entire session at the end of this post! And of course here are some of my favorites from their session!

Check out the behind the scenes from this engagement session below.

Hello Folks! I have a great surprise proposal to share today. Jakub reached out to me about his plan to propose a few weeks before the date so we had time to plot every aspect of the plan to perfection. The plan was to have the proposal at Yonge-Dundas Square at precisely 8:30pm after Viki’s surprise dinner with Jakub at the 360 Restaurant at the CN Tower. Why 8:30pm because Jakub had pre arranged for one of the video screens at the Square to reveal the proposal to Viki… more captions below! If you like to see more proposals I’ve photographed in the past click here.
Viki had totally no clue at this time of what was coming ahead of her as Jakub reached into his bag.

Notice the lady in red, she was a random taking a photo of her friend and instead of doing that she turned right around and started taking photos of them.

Behind the scenes Jakub invited close friends and family to secretly share the wonderful moment with them from a distance. After hearing that magic word “YES” everyone came out from hiding to congratulate them and we later on went back to the Royal York Hotel for champagne and snacks to celebrate! Congrats to Jakub and Viki. I wish you both the very best!
