Andrea and Victor’s University of Toronto engagement set from June is looking pretty hot and nope, not referring to the insanely hot temperatures we are having this summer. It was such a gorgeous evening wandering the campus and capturing these shots for them! Looking forward to round two coming up as they tie the knot this Fall. Here’s some of my favourites from their session, enjoy!

Engagement sessions are amazing. It’s the greatest opportunity for me to get to know my couples before their big day. For many couples, it’s their first official photoshoot so they all dress up and get hair and makeup done for an evening of adventure just like Rebecca and Jonathan. For their session we wandered and explored Unionville Main Street and Toogood Pond taking in the nice scenery and of course taking some of these insanely gorgeous photos below. Now let’s get you two married this weekend!

Karen and Aaron, looking over your engagement photos has gotten me excited that your wedding is THIS weekend! Can’t wait to share this special day with you both and looking forward to seeing some familiar faces at your wedding. Today I’m showing off my lovely couple, Daria and Andrew with whom I spent a beautiful evening with exploring the charming nooks and crannies at University of Toronto before catching some sunset photos with ice cream in hand at the Kensington Market in Toronto! Looking forward to seeing them again later this afternoon as I’ll be with them again documenting their wedding at the Ancaster Mill in Hamilton.

A few months ago I finally got to meet Dannese and Richard for their engagement session and it couldn’t have gone better! We spent the afternoon at Casa Loma and Dannese had on two spectacular dresses, one pink and one hot red which she rocked beautifully. As for Richard he was as cool as 007 with his Bond girl, kind of reminded me of the movie Casino Royal. I think what I loved most about them is how chill they are, super fun and easygoing. Can’t wait to hang out with them again for the wedding!

Shayan contacted me last September to help him take photos during his surprise proposal to his girlfriend Niusha. He found me via Google because I had done another proposal at Yonge-Dundas Square where he was going to do his also. In addition to having it at the Square he rented two of the LCD screens there to play a slideshow he made which I thought was pretty cool. So Shayan and I meet up the morning of the proposal on location to finalize all the logistics and I walked him through where they should be. Later that evening as planned they arrived 10 minutes before 8pm when I started to take photos of them from about a distances of 30 – 40 metres away to the build up of their proposal. Below are some of my favourite candid moments leading up to their proposal and their epic classic heel kicking kissing photo in the middle of the Square to end of the session! Enjoy! If you like to see more proposals I’ve photographed in the past click here.Enjoying a street performance before it was time to propose.
A quick time check from the big LCD screens then off to the designated proposal location.
Arrived to the spot exactly at 8pm and asked Niusha to look at the LCD screen.
She was surprised to she herself on the big screen.
One of two LCD screens used for the proposal.
Enjoying their lovely moment together. (One screen each lol)
He then takes her hand before the last slide appears…
…and goes down on one knee to proposal.
A group of people pass by right after and cheered them on and congratulated them.
Showing off her new ring to the camera.
We took a few photos with a close friend who was present to witness the special occasion.

Featured today on the blog is Abby and Troy’s engagement session from Hilton Falls in Milton. We hiked our way and battle hundreds of mosquitos to the beautiful falls and captured these awesome photos. We were so lucky to have finished our session just while it started to rain on the hike back to the car. I’m so looking forward to their wedding this weekend, enjoy the photos!

Hello Folks! I have a great surprise proposal to share today. Jakub reached out to me about his plan to propose a few weeks before the date so we had time to plot every aspect of the plan to perfection. The plan was to have the proposal at Yonge-Dundas Square at precisely 8:30pm after Viki’s surprise dinner with Jakub at the 360 Restaurant at the CN Tower. Why 8:30pm because Jakub had pre arranged for one of the video screens at the Square to reveal the proposal to Viki… more captions below! If you like to see more proposals I’ve photographed in the past click here.Viki had totally no clue at this time of what was coming ahead of her as Jakub reached into his bag.
Notice the lady in red, she was a random taking a photo of her friend and instead of doing that she turned right around and started taking photos of them.
Behind the scenes Jakub invited close friends and family to secretly share the wonderful moment with them from a distance. After hearing that magic word “YES” everyone came out from hiding to congratulate them and we later on went back to the Royal York Hotel for champagne and snacks to celebrate! Congrats to Jakub and Viki. I wish you both the very best!
