With so many proposal this year I finally get to catch up on blogging one of them tonight. Here’s the most recent featuring Sarah and Melissa from The Distillery District in Toronto. Originally planned to take place in front of the love locks however due to the Toronto Christmas Market setup, the love locks were all covered up. So as I followed them from a safe distance so Melissa wouldn’t notice me, Sarah quickly found a spot to pop the question. Everything went well as you can see in the photos, I got to meet Melissa and we had a great engagement session after. Congratulations to you both and thanks again for having me document this special day for you!

Contacted, planned and executed flawlessly within 96 hours was Mitchell’s surprise proposal to Ashley at the Distillery District in Toronto. The evening of the proposal Mitchell left a note for Ashley at home instructing her to meet him at the Distillery. She read the note and was quickly on her way down and this is how it went down visually. If you like to see more proposals I’ve photographed in the past click here.Mitchell checking his phone to see how close Ashley was via a Uber map.
Ashley is en route to the Distillery.
Mitchell eagerly awaits for her arrive.
Ashley arrives! Will let the photos tell the story from here on. Enjoy!

Shayan contacted me last September to help him take photos during his surprise proposal to his girlfriend Niusha. He found me via Google because I had done another proposal at Yonge-Dundas Square where he was going to do his also. In addition to having it at the Square he rented two of the LCD screens there to play a slideshow he made which I thought was pretty cool. So Shayan and I meet up the morning of the proposal on location to finalize all the logistics and I walked him through where they should be. Later that evening as planned they arrived 10 minutes before 8pm when I started to take photos of them from about a distances of 30 – 40 metres away to the build up of their proposal. Below are some of my favourite candid moments leading up to their proposal and their epic classic heel kicking kissing photo in the middle of the Square to end of the session! Enjoy! If you like to see more proposals I’ve photographed in the past click here.Enjoying a street performance before it was time to propose.
A quick time check from the big LCD screens then off to the designated proposal location.
Arrived to the spot exactly at 8pm and asked Niusha to look at the LCD screen.
She was surprised to she herself on the big screen.
One of two LCD screens used for the proposal.
Enjoying their lovely moment together. (One screen each lol)
He then takes her hand before the last slide appears…
…and goes down on one knee to proposal.
A group of people pass by right after and cheered them on and congratulated them.
Showing off her new ring to the camera.
We took a few photos with a close friend who was present to witness the special occasion.

Hello Folks! I have a great surprise proposal to share today. Jakub reached out to me about his plan to propose a few weeks before the date so we had time to plot every aspect of the plan to perfection. The plan was to have the proposal at Yonge-Dundas Square at precisely 8:30pm after Viki’s surprise dinner with Jakub at the 360 Restaurant at the CN Tower. Why 8:30pm because Jakub had pre arranged for one of the video screens at the Square to reveal the proposal to Viki… more captions below! If you like to see more proposals I’ve photographed in the past click here.Viki had totally no clue at this time of what was coming ahead of her as Jakub reached into his bag.
Notice the lady in red, she was a random taking a photo of her friend and instead of doing that she turned right around and started taking photos of them.
Behind the scenes Jakub invited close friends and family to secretly share the wonderful moment with them from a distance. After hearing that magic word “YES” everyone came out from hiding to congratulate them and we later on went back to the Royal York Hotel for champagne and snacks to celebrate! Congrats to Jakub and Viki. I wish you both the very best!
